R4 DS Card & NDS Homebrew!

Although not very useful, this totally free app is quite darn neat. DS-DOS lets you run the earlier versions of MS Dos right on your Nintendo 3DS using the r4i 3ds. As stated, it is not completely functional, but gives you a good concept of what DOS could be like on a hand held portable method.

It is a text based application which will let you carry out most simple dos commands like copy, paste, rename, and so on… You won’t be running Duke Nukem or anything like that, but we are hopeful that the developer will continue to work on it, and will ultimately make that happen. Absolutely nothing could be sweeter than getting able to use it like DosBox on a Windows or MAC pc. Being able to install those old cool dos games and giving them a great play via would be the incing on a cake. But I realize you will find those of us gamers that haven’t even ever had to load in to Dos, a lot less use it. With that in mind, it is quite neat to see just what we had to do and go via just before windows and icons, etc..
